Scholarship recipients will be required to present at the Long Island District of NYSOTA annual dinner meeting in the spring, highlighting research or a special project (Financial Need Scholarship), or the legislative, advocacy and/or promotional activities performed by the recipient (Legislation/Promotion Scholarship). Applicants must be permanent residents of Nassau County or Suffolk County and current members of the New York State Occupational Therapy Association, Long Island District.
To be considered for either scholarship, all of the following must be submitted:
- Scholarship Application
- Letter from your OT/OTA Department Chairperson, using this downloadable reference form
- Letter from the occupational therapy school or occupational therapy assistant school’s financial aid office stating eligibility for assistance (for the LID Financial Aid Scholarship)
- 2 letters of reference using this downloadable reference form
In order to be considered for a scholarship, you must send the application with letters to the Long Island District Scholarship Committee Chairperson by April 1, 2013.
