Horizon Healthcare Staffing is looking for exceptional occupational health nurses (OHN) for our clients located throughout New York. Occupational health nurses may also be nurse case managers. The main job function is to be responsible for ensuring high quality customer service in disability case management by providing medical expertise and serving as the critical communication link between all parties involved in medical disability cases. The OHN recognizes the importance of work, its financial, social, and psychosocial implications, and views return to work as a primary goal. They will also be responsible for the development and administration of efficient and professional operations of occupational health services in accordance with company policies, practices, procedures, and applicable regulations to achieve the desired goals and objectives.
In order to get a job as an occupational health nurse, you must be a licensed registered nurse in New York and have an occupational health certification. You can obtain this certification from the American Board for Occupational Health Nurses. Most clients require at least a BSN. We have clients located in a variety of settings and locations. Locations include; the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Staten Island, and Long Island. Our clients can range from insurance companies, to corporate businesses, to different healthcare settings. Examples of businesses include; factories, mills, corporate offices, department stores, shopping malls, hospitals, and other large employers.
