Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Clinical Fellowship (CF) or Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
Horizon Healthcare Staffing is searching for Speech Language Pathologists to work full-time for schools located in Manhattan, NY. The Speech Language Pathologist will be working under the supervision of a licensed SLP to gain valuable hands-on experience. This Speech Language Pathologist Clinical Fellowship role offers an excellent opportunity for newly graduated students to receive beneficial mentorship in enhancing their professional competencies and specializing in a school-based setting.

Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Assesses students’ communication skills (e.g. articulation, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, etc.) for the purpose of identifying communication disorders, determining program eligibility and developing recommendations for treatment.
- Collaborates with a variety of groups and/or individuals (e.g. parents, teachers, physicians, administration, maintenance personnel, team members, other professionals, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information, resolving issues and providing services in compliance with established guidelines.
- Coordinates meetings and processes for eligible students (e.g. testing/screening, IEPs, parent conferences, pre-referral staffing, etc.) for the purpose of presenting evaluation results, developing treatment plans, and/or providing training to parents/students/staff.
- Develops treatment plans, interventions and/or educational materials for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of communication disorders in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
SLP, CF Qualifications:

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Eligibility to begin Clinical Fellowship as required by ASHA

Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities Certificate (TSSLD)
- Experience working with school-age children during clinical practicums or internships.
SLP, CCC Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders.

New York State licensure in Speech and Language Pathology.

Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities Certificate (TSSLD)

Experience working with school-age children
