Spanish Bilingual School Nurse (RN/LPN) – Transport Only

Horizon Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a compassionate Spanish Bilingual Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Elizabeth, NJ to work with a special need’s student in a 1:1 capacity during their transportation to and from school on the school bus.

• The assignment would be both AM and PM bus rides with the student.
• Each bus ride will take a minimum of 2 hours no matter the time it takes.

Hours: AM Pickup: 7:00 | PM Pickup: 1:30

Schedule: Monday's & Wednesday's

Bus Transport Responsibilities:

• The nurse will be responsible for meeting the parent/student at the student’s home and ride the bus to school.
• Provide comprehensive medical assessment according to nursing practice standards.
• Monitor and administer medication(s) and give treatment(s) if needed.
• Respond to and assess emergency health needs of students.
• Ensure the safety of the child.
• Documentation of daily activity
• Ability to assist in case of an emergency.

Requirements:

• NJ LPN or RN License
• Must have one year of professional experience as a nurse.
• Active CPR card
• Spanish Bilingual required.
• Experience with seizure precautions is required.
• Experience with 1-1 care a plus!
• Experience with children a plus!
• Must have or be willing to get fingerprinted by the Board of Education (we reimburse!)
