Horizon Healthcare Staffing is seeking passionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team in Newark, NJ. We have 5 openings for RNs to work as a substitute school nurse in the health office.

As a School Registered Nurse (RN) in Newark, you will play a vital role in providing health services to students.

Hours:8:20am-3:05pm

Dates: 2024-2025 School Year (Sept 3rd start date)

Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities:

• Serving as a school nurse in the health office

For Health Office Nurse:

• Provide direct nursing care to students and staff who visit the health office for various health concerns, including minor injuries, illnesses, and medication administration.
• Conduct health assessments and screenings to identify health issues and provide appropriate interventions or referrals as needed.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students, including immunization records, health history, and medication administration logs.
• Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and parents to develop and implement health policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy school environment.
• Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics, including nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.

RN School Nurse Job Requirements:

• Registered Nurse in New Jersey: You must hold a valid and active Registered Nurse license in the state of New Jersey.
• Current CPR Card: Possession of current CPR Card is required to ensure readiness in emergency situations.
• One (1) year of professional experience as a Registered Nurse
• Must be willing to get your NJ Department of Education Fingerprints (We reimburse)
