School Nurse (RN/LPN) - Bus Transportation
Location: Boonton, NJ
Horizon Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN’s) and Registered Nurses (RN’s) in Boonton, NJ to work with special need’s student in a 1:1 capacity during their transportation to and from school on the school bus.
Position Details:
Location: Boonton, NJ
Schedule: Thursday AM/PM; Friday PM (Only)
Hours: AM Pickup at 7:30 AM | PM Pickup at 1:30 PM
Responsibilities
Your Responsibilities:
- Meet the parent/student at home and accompany them on the bus to school.
- Conduct comprehensive medical assessments in line with nursing standards.
- Monitor and administer medications and treatments as necessary.
- Respond to emergency health needs and provide immediate care.
- Ensure the child's safety throughout the journey.
- Document daily activities and any health updates.
- Be prepared to assist in emergency situations.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- One year of professional nursing experience.
- Active CPR certification.
- Experience with seizure precautions is essential.
- 1:1 care experience and familiarity with working with children is a plus!
- Willingness to get fingerprinted by the Board of Education (we’ll cover the costs!).
