Health Office Registered Nurse (LPN) - Start ASAP

Location: East Orange, NJ

Horizon Healthcare Staffing currently needs a Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to work in the health office for the rest of the school year.

The LPN will be working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Hours: 8:00AM - 4:00PM

Openings for Licensed Practical Nurses Include:

• Serving as a substitute school nurse in the health office

Responsibilities:

For Substitute Health Office Nurse:

• Provide direct nursing care to students and staff who visit the health office for various health concerns, including minor injuries, illnesses, and medication administration.
• Assists the RN in screening students for health problems. (Spinal screening, vision screening, immunization audit, etc.)
• Float to all schools plus ride bus at the end of the day with student.
• State Immunization Reporting.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.

LPN School Nurse Job Requirements:

• Licensed Practical Nurse in New Jersey: You must hold a valid and active LPN license in the state of New Jersey.
• Current CPR Card: Possession of current CPR Card is required to ensure readiness in emergency situations.
• One (1) year of professional experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Must be willing to get your NJ Department of Education Fingerprints (We reimburse)
