Registered Nurse - Oncology

Horizon Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Oncology Registered Nurse in a Bronx, NY based hospital. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate care to patients and support their families throughout the treatment process.

This is considered a full-time position in a hospital setting.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Administer chemotherapy and other treatments to oncology patients
• Monitor patient progress and collaborate with the healthcare team to adjust treatment plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment options, side effects, and self-care techniques
• Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families facing cancer diagnoses
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with protocols

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology nursing preferred
• Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN) highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of infection control practices and chemotherapy administration
• Experience with triage, critical care, and working in a Level II Trauma Center is a plus
