Mammography Technician
Location: Somerset County, NJ
Pay Rate: $39 – $43/hour
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Horizon Healthcare Staffing is seeking skilled and dedicated Mammography Technicians to join our client’s team at various radiology offices across New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have experience in 3D mammography and possess excellent patient care skills, working in a professional and fast-paced environment.
Locations and Schedules:
  • Bedminster | Somerset County: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM; Warren (Thursday), 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM; rotating Saturday
  • Somerset | Somerset County: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM with rotating Saturdays

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality mammograms using state-of-the-art digital and 3D mammography equipment, following established protocols and safety standards.
  • Operate mammography equipment to capture diagnostic images, ensuring proper positioning of patients and equipment to achieve optimal results.
  • Clearly communicate with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and providing a comfortable and reassuring environment.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging and timely reporting of results.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of imaging procedures, patient history, and relevant details.
  • Assist in performing quality control tests and ensure equipment is functioning correctly, reporting any malfunctions.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including radiation protection measures, to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  • Stay current with continuing education and advancements in mammography technology to provide the best care possible.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Certification: ARRT(R)(M) certification in Mammography is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current experience in 3D mammography.
  • Licenses: Valid New Jersey State License and current CPR certification are required.
