Horizon Healthcare Staffing is seeking multiple reliable Certified Medical Assistants for Health Centers located in Freehold, Keyport, Red Bank, or Asbury Park. This Health Center offers comprehensive, community based, preventive, primary care, and wellness services for New Jersey residents of all ages. The Medical Assistants would be responsible for assisting in providing care for patients in the Primary Care Department as part of the Health Care Team.

Assignment hours/schedule:

• Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
• Rotating Saturdays until 2pm

Locations:

• Freehold
• Keyport
• Red Bank
• Asbury Park

Responsibilities:

• Assists provider with patient workflow and maintaining clinical records
• Executes order and performs related duties as ordered according to standard operating procedure
• Maintains laboratory proficiency and required logbooks and records
• Assists in coordination, management, and documentation of medications, supplies and referrals
• Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies
• Adheres to the organization’s policy regarding absenteeism and appearance
• Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position

Requirements:

• Medical Assistant Certificate from accredited school
• MUST be comfortable taking a pre-employment drug screen
• 6 months+ of supervised medical assistant experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Current and valid CPR Certification
• Ability to work accurately and pay attention to details
