Auditor Job in Nassau County
SUMMARY:
Auditors are responsible for first time calls to the Insurance Carriers, payment schedules and follow up calls. Initiating calls that require supervisory intervention to insure payment. Reconcile payments on EOB’s, accounts receivable calls at the end of each month along with follow up letters. Auditors are responsible for collection turn around time (35 days). Auditors ensure that claims are received, review payments that have been received and check that all codes are accounted for. Responsible for all secondary submissions insuring that the process moves forward smoothly and in a timely manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- First time calls to insurance carrier
- Follow up calls to insure timely payments
- Accounts receivable
- EOB’s – checking that all codes have been accounted for
- Claim – turn around time 35 days.
- Challenge delays
- Evaluate initial payment for clients
- Updating spreadsheets accurately
- Ensure credit messages are clear and concise
- Compose accurate and appropriate letters
- Attend meetings as required by Management staff.
