PT Job Description:
As a PT in outpatient setting, you will be evaluating residents, developing treatment plans, and obtaining approval for service from the referring physician. You will be collaborating with an experienced team of professionals that are committed to helping each patient recover their strengths, skills, independence, and confidence. You will be improving patients' coordination, strength, and range of motion by using a variety of treatment techniques including exercises, stretches, and manual therapy.
- Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Hours: Monday - Thursday 10:00AM - 5:00PM | Friday's 10:00AM - 4:00PM
- Type: Full-time
- Rate:$50-$60 per hour
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' conditions and develop individualized treatment plans to help them achieve their goals
- Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions with patients to help them improve their range of motion, strength, and coordination
- Use a variety of treatment techniques, including exercises, stretches, manual therapy, and modalities, to help patients recover
- Communicate with patients' physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care
- Document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions and how to manage them at home
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program
- Current NY state physical therapy license
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
