In this role, you will provide essential health services to students and staff, acting as an advocate and liaison for health-related issues within the school community.

Job Details:

• School Health Office
• Monday - Friday
• 8:30AM - 4:30PM
• Start ASAP through 2024-2025 school year
• Approx. 300 students

Job Summary:

As a Health Office Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in promoting the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of students and staff members. Your responsibilities will include providing first aid care, conducting health assessments and screenings, communicating health-related information with parents and school personnel, and maintaining accurate health records.

Responsibilities:

• Provide first aid care and medically prescribed services to students and staff.
• Conduct health screenings and assessments for students and staff members.
• Act as a resource person on health issues and provide health education as needed.
• Communicate effectively with parents, school personnel, and healthcare providers regarding health-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate health records, including immunization records and health appraisals.
• Ensure a safe and healthy environment within the school setting.
• Collaborate with other members of the school healthcare team to address the health needs of students and staff.

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey.
• Current CPR certification.
• Epi Pen knowledge required.
• Bachelor's degree required
• Previous experience in school nursing or a related healthcare setting preferred.
